About Broadway East
This community sits next to the North Boulder Recreation Center, on the Broadway RTD bus corridor. The complex consists of 44 two and three bedroom apartments and townhomes. There is a community building in partnership with the I Have a Dream Foundation in the center green, as well as a playground. This community is located within a Neighborhood EcoPass Zone (City of Boulder Bus and Transit Program). Up to 2 pets accepted, cats or dogs.

Broadway East is a Section 8 Community where the apartment home has an attached Housing Choice Voucher. The voucher helps cover the cost of monthly rent, and residents pay approximately 30-40% of their monthly income toward rent.
Student, liquid asset, and homeownership restrictions apply.
Occupancy standards apply: A minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 5 people for a two-bedroom apartment; a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 7 people for a three-bedroom apartment.
Applicants and household members must be free of evictions within the past three years.
Applicants and household members must be free of convictions for a felony within the past three years or a chronic history of misdemeanors.
Persons who are required to register in the Sex Offender List or with any methamphetamine related convictions, in any state, do not qualify.
Additional Qualifying Criteria (Boulder County applicants prioritized)
In addition to the qualifying guidelines above, applicants must also meet criteria for the Housing Choice Voucher that is attached to the apartment home. Per the Housing Choice program guidelines, BHP prioritizes assistance to local applicants who are:
Living in Boulder County.
Households with an adult who works at least 20 hours per week within Boulder County.
Households with an adult who attends school full-time within Boulder County.
Households with an adult child or parent who resides in Boulder County (In this instance, either the applicant family, or the immediate family member living in Boulder County must be, a senior over the age of 62 or a person with a disability.)
-- AND who are one or more of the following:
Seniors (age 62+).
Individuals with disabilities.
Households with children.

The way to apply for this community is through a waitlist. The waitlist last opened August 17-19, 2021 and the next opening has not been scheduled. Please continue to check our website or waitlist hotline, 720-564-4627, for opening date information.

Applicants will be contacted in randomized order when an apartment home becomes available.
When an apartment home matching your bedroom size becomes available, you will be contacted to start the full application and qualifying process, which includes a $19 application fee (per adult) and a $65 holding fee (per household).
