Being Home 

Enrichment, Connection, and Resources for Older Adults 

At Boulder Housing Partners, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to age with dignity, stability, and connection. 

What is the Being Home Program? 

Being Home is a supportive program for independent older adults, designed to help you stay active, healthy, and stably housed as you age in place. 

As a resident in our Being Home program, you’ll have access to: 

  • Onsite enrichment activities through our Activities Coordinator, including: 
    • Yoga, art, and music sessions 
    • Wellness programming 
    • Social opportunities that build community 
  • Personalized support from a Resident Services Coordinator who specializes in services for older adults and can help you connect to: 
    • Food assistance (SNAP) 
    • Medicaid 
    • Old Age Pension 
    • Other public benefits and services 
    • Coordinated health care management, in-home services for independent living. 
  • When available, funding for important needs such as: 
    • Eyeglasses 
    • Dental work 
    • Other health-related or personal essentials
  • Community Connections with events, activities, and opportunities to connect with others.  

Who Can Join the Being Home Program? 

Applicants must meet initial eligibility requirements and be considered “Program Ready” to join the housing waitlist for the Being Home sites.  

Each of these communities has access to resources, including community spaces with libraries, computers, Wi-Fi, and onsite programming and community events. 

Supportive services start when you are accepted into the Being Home program and admitted into a housing community. 

Eligible residents pay approximately 30-40% of their income towards rent. 

Who Should Apply?

Low-income older adults 55 years of age or older who live or work in Boulder County. There is no minimum income required to qualify, and applicants may earn up to 50% of the Area Median Income to qualify:
