Boulder Housing Partners is pleased to announce that Executive Director Betsey Martens has received the "Award for Contribution to the Built Environment by a Non-Architect" from the American Institute of Architects, Colorado Chapter (AIA Colorado) North.

"As the executive director of Boulder Housing Partners, Betsey Martens has tirelessly promoted the importance of meeting the housing needs of all residents. It is an honor to recognize her for all she has done to positively impact both the quality of life and the built environment in Boulder.”
The Award for Contribution to the Built Environment by a Non-Architect recognizes outstanding accomplishments by a non-architect in the AIA Colorado North region who has demonstrated exemplary achievements in contributing to the quality of the built environment. AIA Colorado North intends to bring recognition to individuals from diverse backgrounds for their professional contributions to enhancing, preserving, developing or promoting the built environment or supporting the profession of architecture in AIA Colorado North’s area. Nominees may be any person except a licensed architect or intern working toward licensure. A candidate’s contribution must be for activity or events in and benefiting the AIA Colorado North region. Nominees could be clients, developers, artists, educators, civic leaders, historic preservationists, writers or allied professionals.
