Can I get help paying my rent?

Boulder Housing Partners offers two different rent assistance options – our Housing Choice Voucher Program or our Deeply Affordable Rentals.

These are longer-term housing options that are applied for through a lottery or a waiting list. If you are looking for immediate assistance in paying your rent, please visit our resources page for emergency assistance options provided by local community partners. If you are looking for assistance paying your rent due to hardships from COVID-19, please visit our COVID resources page.

Housing Choice Vouchers

Qualified residents can receive assistance paying their rent in privately owned apartment complexes or rentals located throughout Boulder County through our Housing Choice Voucher Program. This may be where you are currently living, or for a rental that you’ve found through an apartment search where you are interested in living.

Deeply Affordable Rentals

Our Deeply Affordable Rentals are apartment communities owned and managed by Boulder Housing Partners located throughout the City of Boulder. After qualifying, residents living in these communities pay approximately 30-40% of income towards rent, and the remainder is subsidized through federal funding.
