On Septiembre 21, residents, community members, and partners joined Boulder Housing Partners at Tantra Lake Apartments for a special tree planting and food forest event. Together, more than 50 volunteers helped transform a previously unused lot into a vibrant, climate-resilient landscape with fruit trees, shade trees, and pollinator plants.
The event was a collaborative effort with PlayPass Tree Trust, Cool Boulder, Tree Trust, Rotary Club, Eco-Cycle, Love4Nature, and FLOWS — in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation and the Cielo Boulder Foundation — whose contributions of funding, materials, and expertise made this project possible.
Residents from Tantra Lake Apartments community, along with local volunteers and partners, came together to spread compost, prepare planting areas, and celebrate the start of this long-term community resource.
This project is part of BHP’s commitment to increasing access to healthy food, building climate resilience, and strengthening community well-being.
