Committed to ensuring apartment communities remain viable, sustainable and permanently affordable for Boulder residents, Boulder Housing Partners has renovated 10 apartment communities since 2015 including Project Renovate, Glen Willow & Canyon Pointe, and most recent to near completion, Madison & Woodlands.
Madison Apartments and Woodlands Apartments will provide updated living areas and community spaces to a total of 68 affordable apartment homes.
Located at 1130-1190 35th Street, Madison was built in 1971. All 33 apartments have been fully renovated, including in-home laundry, central air conditioning, dishwashers, new finishes, new siding, and new windows. A small community center and new playground have been added and the landscaping upgraded, with the addition of raised garden beds. Madison will continue to be affordable to residents earning incomes of 60% of Boulder County’s Area Median Income (AMI) or less. Existing residents are moving back into their finished homes.
Located at 2685 Mapleton Ave. and built in 1994, Woodlands serves 35 families participating in Boulder County’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program. Renovations are more moderate, focusing on building exteriors, new roofs with solar panels, site work, and community spaces. The two playgrounds have been replaced and the community center was fully renovated. Apartment interiors were previously renovated in 2012. Monthly rents will continue to be affordable to residents at 50% of AMI or less.
