BHP Releases 2020 Moving to Work Annual Plan for Review
BHP is pleased to present the 2020 Moving to Work Annual Plan. 2020 is our 9th year as part of this demonstration program. We are proposing one new activity for 2020: FSS Rent and Escrow Calculations. This Activity will only impact new families who choose to participate in the Family Self-Sufficiency Program at our Woodlands Community as of January 1, 2020, or current participating families if they choose to opt in. Highlights of this activity include:
- Changing the method of calculation rent
- Recertifying families every two years instead of annually
- Allowing participants to earn escrow in two ways: based on earned income in years 3, 4 and 5 and based on goals achieved
The Activity is described in great detail in the draft plan which is available for public review until October 16, when the BHP Board of Commissioners will approve the plan. A public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 at 5:00 p.m. at 4800 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80304. Comments can be made in writing via email to kreutzbergk@boulderhousing.org, via phone by calling Karen at 720-564-4631, or sent via mail to Karen Kreutzberg, 4800 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80304. Final approval for the Plan will be received from HUD once the plan is submitted to them on October 17, 2019. The new activity will be implemented in 2020.
