Congratulations to the March 2016 BHP Partnership Awards winners! Our Partnership Awards program recognizes the efforts of individuals, businesses, corporate partners, and non-profit and governmental agencies for their support of BHP and its mission. At the March 07, 2016 Board of Commissioners meeting, BHP staff presented awards to the following non-profit, business and volunteer partners:
Non-Profit Partner: Housing First Team from the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless
The Housing First Team from the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless has supported BHP with collaborative efforts to not only find a housing solution for some of the hardest individuals to house, but to keeping them housed. They are committed to ensuring the success of individuals and our program at 1175 Lee Hill.
Award presented by René Brodeur.
Business Partner: Oracle
Oracle employees have been providing holiday gifts to the residents of BHP’s senior and disability communities for the past ten years. This year, in addition to giving gifts to residents at Canyon Pointe, Walnut Place, Northport, and High Mar, they included gifts to Lee Hill and some family-site residents. Generally these gifts are the only holiday gifts the BHP residents will receive and the residents are overwhelmed. This holiday program is appreciated by both the residents and the staff who witness the joy of our residents getting their wishes fulfilled.
Award presented by Margie Freedman.
Volunteer Partner: Sue Percifield
Sue Percifield is a kind, caring and driven volunteer who makes our residents’ lives better. She has been an unbelievable source of support to our residents at Walnut Place. During the first phase of Project Renovate she put in over 100 hours in a single month to help a resident with hoarding issues. We have come to rely on Sue for her willingness to gracefully handle any task. We at Boulder Housing Partners are grateful to have her as a volunteer.
Award presented by Nick Phillips.
