3125 34th Street – Future Affordable Housing Site
In 2015, with the financial support of the City of Boulder, Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) purchased the 4.5-acre vacant lot to the east of the Orchard Grove Mobile Home Park to be eventually developed as affordable housing. In Fall 2017, BHP began exploring site design ideas and the type of development most appropriate for this site.
On Junio 9th BHP submitted a Concept Plan Application to the City of Boulder for Orchard Grove. The purpose of the City’s concept plan review and comment process is to evaluate conceptual site development options at an early stage as well as to identify any additional regulatory processes required prior to development. This process is to provide guidance to the developer, and no approvals are made at this stage.
The Orchard Grove concept plan incorporates feedback from the community, the City of Boulder, and other stakeholders. On Martes, Septiembre 19th, the concept plan will be reviewed by City staff and presented at a Planning Board meeting and public hearing where there will be an opportunity for public comment. We encourage interested parties to share their perspective about the project with the City and Planning Board at this time.
You can find the meeting packet and agenda next week here Planning Board Upcoming Meeting Materials Packets. To learn more about the City’s review process please visit the City’s Website.
