Canyon Pointe and Glen Willow Renovations
In 2020, Boulder Housing Partners completed the renovation of 116 permanently affordable apartment homes located at Glen Willow and Canyon Pointe, two deeply affordable communities near downtown Boulder. Similar to Project Renovate in 2016, we renovated these two communities to ensure they remain viable, sustainable, and affordable for Boulder residents in perpetuity.
The Glen Willow community, built in 1972, is home to families, seniors and people with disabilities in 34 apartments and townhomes. Located at 301-333 Pearl Street, Glen Willow has undergone an extensive interior and exterior renovation. All 34 homes have received full renovations that included: in-unit laundry, central air conditioning, dishwasher, new finishes, new siding, new windows, and extended patios with personalized space. Additionally, the community grounds received upgraded landscaping, a new playground, and a new small community center.
These 34 apartments and townhomes are for those earning up to 60% of the Area Median income and include 3 studios and 9 one-bedroom, 12 two-bedroom, 6 three-bedroom, and 4 four-bedroom apartments.
The Canyon Pointe apartment community, built in 1982, was also improved with less extensive renovations. All homes received new entry flooring, lighting and interior doors, and various necessary upgrades. We also updated or modernized community areas and amentites including interior hallways, resident storage, the elevators and the community room. Located at 700 Walnut Street, Canyon Pointe has 82 apartments for seniors.
These 82 apartments are for those earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income and include 81 one-bedroom and 1 two-bedroom apartments.
